It would be lots more fun than having a gigantic troublesome occasion with all of our friends and family, and it would only cost a few hundred bucks. She would not hear of it, however. She was willing to have low priced wedding day decorations & a discount wedding day gown, but one way or the other she was getting married traditionally - country wedding songs & all.
There's nothing more dreary than planning cost effective weddings. You see, there isn't any miraculous low priced weddings trick. You need to simply save cash & every-thing that you can. You have to find a way to get inexpensive wedding day invitations, low priced wedding day centerpieces, low priced brides-maid gowns, & even a somehow cheap room to have the reception in. The last one is easy assuming that you know some-one with space which they will let you use. In my situation, we were able to use my mom & father back yard and save lots of money on leasing out a hall. Even so, every-thing else added up to quite a little bit of cash.
The toughest part was picking out wedding day bridal gowns with my wife. For most of the planning, she was willing to use wedding do it your-self tricks in an effort to save a little bit of money from time to time, but picking out her wedding day dress was an absolutely awful ordeal. In the end, we finally decided that that would be the one part of the wedding day where she could spend as much cash as she needed to get what she wished to wear.
